Villa Ourania is located at a nodal point of main arteries in Naxos

We spent 5 nights at Belogna Ikons. This place is amazing. Everything was pristine clean and beautiful. We were greeted by Georgia on our arrival who looked after us exceptionally well throughout our visit. The pool is large with lovely water. We only ever saw one other family around the pool and most of the time had it to ourselves. The place is very tranquil and extremely relaxing. Our house was rather like a hobbit house. We had 3 balcony areas and a private parking spot. The view is spectacular. It was so beautifully done out. The bedding and beds are very comfortable. The interior design is stunning. We had pool and house towels as well as robes. There are goodies in the fridge for your first night and breakfast - wine, juices, milk, butter, homemade honey and plenty more to keep you going. I don't think the photos do it justice. The house was cleaned every day and our beds made. We had fresh towel and linen on the third day. Our hosts arranged a car rental for us for 50eruos a day. It was delivered and collected from our house. Great service I thought having spent many holiday fussing around and queuing for cars. There aren't cats all over the place as some reviewers mentioned. I only saw two sleeping in the grounds all the time we were there. The taxi from airport was totally fine. Yes we were all squeezed in ( as another reviewer mentioned) and the bags were hanging out the boot but you are in Greece just go with it. Georgia let us stay in our villa till 2pm on our departure day which really was excellent as otherwise we would have had to hang around in the town with our bags all day waiting for our ferry. It is hard to describe this place as a hotel. The term just doesn't do it justice. It is a gorgeous place designed using the traditional techniques and style of the Cyclades Islands. It is all white and blue and airy and light. It is also impeccably clean. The owners describe it as discrete luxury but understated and natural elegance more closely hits the mark. It is perched on a hill overlooking an agricultural plain dotted with little white cube-like houses and the central town of Hora and beyond that, the blue Mediterranean. During our stay, a strong breeze kept our three room villa nice and cool and we never turned on the air-conditioner once even though it was mid July. This little pearl of a corner of Greece is perfectly located for those who want to really explore the island, it's hidden villages and rugged mountains and valleys. It is also comfortably far away from the hordes of tourists that crowd the main town. Naxos beyond the main town has not really been discovered yet in comparison to other well known Greek Islands and it is a pleasure to drive through the quiet countryside. The roads can be a bit frightening with the many hairpin turns hugging sheer cliffs. But they are making an effort to improve the roads and massive crowds may follow so go soon. Belongs Ikons is as far away from a cookie cutter hotel as one could possibly conjure up. It has a beautiful pool but is not near the beach so if you are looking for an all inclusive beachside resort, this won't be the place for you. But if you want to explore a Cyclades Island at its very best while staying in an authentic, unique and beautiful place, stay here. They provide food for your first breakfast but no other meals are provided or are available so you have to go out to a restaurant or go shopping and prepare your food in your accommodation. That is not a bad thing as it gets you out and about, even if it is just to go to a grocery store.

Belogna Ikons is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay and enjoy Naxos. Highly recommened to those looking for a place that has been locally designed and crafted and that has been thoughtfully decorated and equipped for a convenient stay. The gardens are beautifully planted and are a particular pleasure. Thank you to Marius and all for our lovely stay with you.
