We had an amazing week at the beautiful Espera. We stayed there with our two teenage daughters and we all loved it. The view of the sea and Fortezza was incredible and listening to the nearby waves rolling in a complete joy. No-one was in a hurry to go anywhere and those who prefer the pool and those who prefer the sea were all happy! The beach was very quiet even in mid-August. The lovely Lina and Marianna were on hand if we needed anything and Valia from ThinkVilla on the end of the phone. Fantastic choice of restaurants nearby and we enjoyed visiting the charming Old Town. Sitting in the Galera bar next to the Romini Fountain with friendly staff was a very pleasant way to enjoy pre/post dinner drinks and watch the world go by. The only downside was the very busy road behind but the sound of the waves, the view and the gorgeous villa more than made up for it. We all could have happily stayed for a lot longer!

We had a fantastic week at Espera Villa. Marianna welcomed us and left us exactly what was needed in a welcome pack. The villa itself is superbly equipped and exceptionally clean. It's location was ideal and we felt incredibly spoilt being able to enjoy the best of both - the pool and beach. Rethymno was around 15 mins walk along a fairly busy road, but the old town is definitely worth the effort. Superb restaurants. We ate out 6 of our 7 nights and none of us had a disappointing plate of food. Our only regret was that the week passed too quickly. We certainly hope to return!

Fab villa and an amazing welcome. Fridge stocked up, Cretan wines to choose from, very well sticked kitchen and everything you needed to use the BBQ. Spent hours lounging outside. A little road noise but, would not stop us from revisiting. Crete is beautiful in April too.so many wild flowers and the water levels made the gorge walk.. Challenging!
