Recently constructed 300m2 villa to rent for holidays which adhere to historic stone and wood architecture of Crete, with fidelity in design and comfort in the lovely by the seaside rural area of Rethymno. Completed in 2016, the villa is ideal for vacation recharging in a haven of restorative luxury, commanding amazing views of the peaceful rural environment and Cretan Sea. This is truly one of a kind property for those wishing to experience exquisitely tranquillity in the most charming Cretan rural area, near Rethymno. Villa Aria is built on 2 levels, where on the ground floor there is the living/dining and kitchen area that has been turned into an open concept to make the most out of space with amazing views out to the pool area, whilst upstairs each of the 5 bedroom has its own bathroom. The house has been filled with heirlooms antique furniture re-invented in modern settings and exciting new way that creates the distinctive blend of local and contemporary design that gets the attention it deserves. On the outside area there is a pool of 40m2. with a separate segment for kids and a garden. The outdoor lounge area is equipped with sun beds as well as a shaded patio and a built-in BBQ.

Villa Aria is located in the tiny Asteri village, 4 km east of Rethymnon town and only 11 km from the famous Arcardi Monastery, a place to visit for its historical significance but also for the amazing natural beauty. Elefthernas Museum houses the results of the excavations in the ancient city, accompanied by original and modern audiovisual exhibits. Poliou House is a unique tavern and at the same time a folk museum where you will taste amazing 100% traditional local cuisine. Rethymno is a place to enjoy its romantic atmosphere and shop your gifts. The nearest beach within 10 minutes walk, is part of the long sandy and organised beach stretched from the city to Scaleta.

If you're looking for luxury in a holiday, here is the place to be. It is stunning with breathtaking views and an amazing place to relax. During the day there is the constant noise of cricket like animals but after a day or so you get used to it. Also, the closest shop is some walk away so car hire is definitely a consideration as the fridge wont hold more than a days worth of food for 11 people. But please don't let this put you off as everything else makes it worth the stay!

There are no words to describe the villa and the owners... A magnificent place and great people. Amazing view and an ideal place to arrange a wedding reception. We recommend it.
